Short Story: Husband By V.N.Giritharan (Translation by Latha Ramakrishnan)

One of my Tamil short stories, "Kanavanl" (meaning "Husband"), was published in the Tamil newspaper Thayagam in Canada. It was translated into English by author Latha Ramakrishnan under the title "Husband."

That English translation has been turned into a podcast using Google NotebookLM.

 Prisoners of Spacetime!

Between spacetime, Kannamma, I
Wonder at your tender heart.
Between spacetime, Kannamma,
I wish to fly for a moment.
In the contemplation of spacetime, Kannamma,
I wish to rejoice every moment.
Transcending the environment, Kannamma, like him,
I wish to think.
He said there is no such thing as time, Kannamma.
And space is similar, Kannamma.
He said only spacetime is real here, Kannamma.
I am amazed, Kannamma, by the peak of his knowledge.
The movement of the mind is not yet over.
Have you ever, Kannamma, wondered
How he managed to do it?
I wonder always, Kannamma.
I am always marveling, Kannamma.
