My Thoughts on Global Security, the Future of Mankind, and the Solar System!

The current world order is highly biased, being managed by powerful Western countries focused on their national security. Instead, it should be rooted in global security. Due to this flaw in the current world order, whenever conflicts or genocides occur, even though the majority of the world opposes them, the powerless are forced to witness the carnage.

Simultaneously, powerful nations, while supplying arms to those unleashing genocidal wars, take no action to prevent destruction and genocide. Historical instances, such as the Nazi slaughter of Jews, West Pakistan's suppression of East Pakistan, Sri Lanka's war on Tamil's armed struggle in 2009, and the Rwandan conflict, exemplify delayed international intervention. Currently, Israel's relentless bombing in Gaza reflects a continuation of this pattern.

An Object-Oriented Program!

Falling leaves, chirping birds,
blue skies, trees, lakes, twinkling stars,
humans...
Who wrote the code of this program
of space-time
where we all function?

This program has bugs
like all other programs,
but it's exceptional
in one aspect:
It allows
its objects
to fix their bugs.

Where are you hiding, superhuman?

Concrete! Concrete! Concrete!
Walls of innocent white surfaces
that absorb the rays,
radiating flames.

Cement-coated pavements chuckle.

Spaces which lost themselves
in the warm embraces of the
valorous columns.

The hot rays seep through
the layers of air.

A liberated bird in the empire of solitude!

I am chained in the empire of solitude.
As a slave or master?
Neither of them,
But as an entirely liberated
and adorable bird singing.

In an unfettered world,
does any ghost of distress exist?
In the world of no laws,
does melancholy exist?
The rays of light,
friends of mine,
shyly hide behind my flying.

Poem: Dimensional Barrier and the Question of God! or You Are My God!

Below us, there are Flatlanders.
Visiting their world is my preferred hobby.
Differences in dimensions benefit us,
because of this,
the world of Flatlanders always entrances me.
The reason behind this bliss is the superiority complex.
It's our weakness as well.
Is it not enough for my bliss or entrancement?

Short Story: An American and a camel in Alaska! By V.N.Giritharan

It was noon, a cloudy day with a sunless sky expanding to the horizon. It was one of those regular visits to the Thorncliffe Park Library, a branch of the Toronto Public Library, with my daughter. She would spend at least an hour there. In the meantime, I had to occupy my time reading a few books or magazines of interest.

While I was looking for an interesting read, I saw him approaching me. That was the first and, as it turned out, the last time I met him. In his six-foot-tall frame, he resembled Sidney Poitier, the famous Hollywood actor from the 1960s.

"May I help you, friend?" he asked me.

He was not a library staff member but a hired security guard.

"No thanks, but I appreciate the offer," I said as I continued my search for a book.

I thought he was going to leave me. But, he continued to stay beside me and carry on his conversation.

Charlton Heston: The Moses on the Silver Screen!

Charlton Heston's portrayal as Moses in 'The Ten Commandments' is the best role of his movie career. The first time I came to know about him was through my dad, who admired Charlton Heston, Garry Cooper, and Antony Quinn. In my childhood, I watched a few films with my dad, including 'The Ten Commandments' and  'Ben-Hur.'  He always talked about Cecil B. DeMille, who directed 'The Ten Commandments.' I still remember my dad telling me that Quinn was Cecil B. DeMille's son-in-law.
