President Trump's Policy on Illegal Immigrants

There are millions of illegal immigrants living in the USA. They are not stealing Americans' jobs. In fact, they work very hard to serve the American public. They work as kitchen helpers, dishwashers, farm workers, and in low-paying factory jobs. They are not competing with American workers who typically get the higher-paying positions—such as those in the automotive industry.

If you examine high-paying government jobs and top-tier factory positions, you’ll find that most of these are held by Americans—primarily white Americans. A census of those sectors would reveal the low percentage of minorities employed there.

President Trump also slashed DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs. Even with DEI, many white Americans still receive the majority of high-paying jobs through hiring practices rooted in "family culture." In such practices, companies hire new employees based on referrals from existing employees. I personally know someone from a minority group who graduated with distinction, but couldn't find a job in his field of study. At the very least, DEI programs offer minorities a chance at fair hiring—though even these programs are often ineffective in practice.

I believe that illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds should be punished. But the hardworking undocumented immigrants who toil in factories, farms, and restaurants—often without fair pay or benefits—should not be. In many ways, they sacrifice their lives to support the citizens of the country they live in. They deserve to be praised. The American public, who benefit from their labor, should stand up for their rights and acknowledge their contributions.
