Christopher Lee as Dracula captivated our imagination!

Another English actor who, like 'James Bond' Sean Connery, captivated our imagination in our childhood, especially in our teen years, was Christopher Lee (Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee). I haven't seen many of his films, except a few. In his later years, he was featured in many commercially successful films like the James Bond film 'The Man with the Golden Gun,' Star Wars films, the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and many more. At that time, I left my country of birth, Sri Lanka, due to political unrest.

As a teenager, I  watched many films, including Hollywood movies, while living in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. After I went to continue my degree studies at the University of Moratuwa in the Colombo metropolitan area, my interest in watching any films waned. After I left Sri Lanka and settled in Canada, I rarely watched films in the movie theatres.

On the Rights of Jewish People!

Many of my favorite world personalities are Jewish. In science, I admire Albert Einstein the most. In politics and economics, I admire Karl Marx the most. In psychology, I admire Sigmund Freud the most.

Albert Einstein's out-of-the-box thinking always impresses me. How could he think about and figure out that space and time are not absolute but relative, just using his mental power? Amazing. Karl Marx's perseverance and dedication to his research on historical materialism and dialectical materialism impresses me a lot. Even though his research brought him poverty, he didn't succumb to that. Jenny Marx's pure love helped him to continue his research. She is amazing too.

Sigmund Freud's thoughts on the concept of human personality are also fantastic. That impresses me a lot as well. Sigmund Freud's thoughts on the concept of human personality, detailing the ID, Ego, and Superego, are also excellent achievements.

Poem:A Letter to Someone Living Extraterrestrially!

Many send a poetical messenger
to faceless humans
and eyeless figures.
However, I'm not sending
this message to them
but to you.
I have never seen you, and
I will never, ever see you.
Between us,
there are light-year-blocking walls
and the illusionary appearances of time.
But my mind is not getting tired;
the mind is not getting tired;
the mind is not getting tired.
It certainly believes that
somewhere you live.

Yes, you live –
in forests, caves, or on cold-spread mountains,
taking the first step of time
or moving through space with arrogance,
perhaps even destroying your planet
with wars due to ignorance.
Sometimes, you may be a wonderful creature
with a super mind.

Red Sun and Charles Bronson: Un-erasable Moments of Teen Years!

Charles Bronson was one of my favorite actors during my teen years. His brawny features were among his strengths. His distinctive voice and the way he squinted his eyes while talking were other aspects that I enjoyed. I was introduced to him through Terence Young's 'Red Sun.' I liked the movie very much for its well-woven plot.

The story revolves around two bandit leaders and their gang members who plan to rob a Washington-bound train carrying money. Simultaneously, a Japanese ambassador is traveling on the same train with his samurai bodyguards. During the robbery, one of the ambassador's bodyguards is killed. Alain Delon, one of the bandit leaders, double-crosses by throwing dynamite into the compartment where the other bandit leader, Charles Bronson, is located.

The renowned singer and music composer, Pavatharani, has passed away!

The renowned singer and music composer, Pavatharani, has passed away in Sri Lanka, marking a significant loss to the Indian music industry. She was honored as the best female singer by the Government of India for the song 'Mayil pola ponnu onnu,' featured in the Tamil movie 'Barathi'—a biographical film on 'Makakavi' Barathaiyaar, a Tamil poet from India."

My heartfelt condolences go out to her family, relatives, and fans.

Serial Novel: Modern Vikramathithan - Chapter Two: Urban Rain and Manoranjitham!

Lightning makes a line through the city,
engulfing it in darkness.
Thunder roars.
The rain opens up like a scene
in a silent movie.

I am looking at the rain from a nest in the concrete tree. Like scenes from a silent movie, the rain appeared to me. Rain is one of my favorite natural events. Watching it is one of my favorite hobbies. Enjoying rain is a kind of sweet and unique experience.

The relationship between rain and me started in my childhood while I sang 'come rain! come rain!' while making a paper ship and watching it sail in the rainwater falling from the gutter. It continued through my teen years, and it still continues.

Poem: Modern Vikramathithan's 'Time'

Who's laughing at me
from the inside?
Every time, this laughter
becomes your habit.
In the expanding space-time,
your laugh, the patterns created by you,
or your cunning narrative
are not new to me.

In the layers of the night sky,
looking at your adventurous laughter,
each night I feel it in the stars,
in their strengths.
But success always belongs to you.
