An Urban Man's Lament!

From natural trees to trees of concrete,
from ape to human,
from ancient human to superhuman,
this marks an evolutionary growth,
says the kin of humans who landed on the moon.

Absorbing light is a common trait
for both these types of trees.
It's an explanation of the intelligence
of the most intelligent creature.

Though absorbing light may be common
for both these trees,
modern trees never produce food,
never give their life to us.

Comrades! You provide us shade,
you provide us fruits,
you provide us leaves,
and, in the end,
you give yourself to us.
But what do these modern trees give us?
Forgetting gratitude,
that is our nature, isn't it?

We forget your greatness,
we ridicule your service to us.
Because of this,
we are now denied
the joy of the beauty of night stars,
moon, and singing birds.

Even this soil has become dry
due to the loss.

Like a burnt country,
our planet has become
a burnt planet.
